| YouTube: Learning as a Refuge In Colombia, the decades-long conflict makes getting an education nearly impossible for those displaced by the violence. In rural areas, families are constantly on the move. Children often miss class and find it hard to catch up. Now there are efforts to help displaced youngsters get a proper education and to offer them a haven from the conflict. |
| This is really heart touching. I mean, I feel for those children who are not able to go to school, because of this violence that is happening in Colombia. I'm just glad to know that there are now ways of helping these youngsters. It's also good to know that they will now be spared from all those violence that is preventing them from learning and education.I hope that there will be a lot of people who will support and help for this cause. |
| It is sad to know that lots of people, particularly the young ones that are greatly affected with what is happening in their respective countries. Violence, crimes and war, can these be all history? I just hope that these kids be able to still cling on to their dreams and find a way to make those dreams happen. | I believe that the youth is the hope of the fatherland. Hence, we should not take for granted the potential of these young people to manifest their skills and aptitude. They can only do this through proper education. I also feel sad about the situation of youngsters in Colombia. I hope that if the government could not provide adequate education for these young people, they should provide programs that will help out of school youth instead. |
| While Colombia's level of educations on literacy is better than in some other countries, it is sad to hear that there are many children unable to work on their studies consistently. I am glad to hear of these schemes to help these children in achieving a basic level of education. It is this kind of work that will go on to make a difference in these kids' lives, and by extension, the world. |
